We are looking for 2 part-time after school assistants or providers. Our After School Program (overseen by the Division of Developmental Disabilities or DDD) assists children with social skill development, specific skills training, assistance with daily life activities, fun activities and themed weekly events. You will be working with the children in a wide range of educational and recreational activities. The hours of need are from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We are looking for candidates that have worked with special needs children before. Special needs experience is preferred. Must love children and have patience. Starting pay is $11.00. Other opportunities are also available (i.e. van support, habilitation, respite, etc.) that can provide additional hours if needed.
Candidates must have the following to apply:
Must be at least 18 years of age and have an Arizona Drivers License. Must have a Fingerprint Clearance Card for working with children (issued by the Dept. of Public Safety). Must have a CPR/ First Aid card. Must be willing to undergo a background check and a drug screen. Candidates should be reliable and dependable and physically capable (lift over 45 lbs.) in order to work with high behavioral individuals. Ideal candidates should have “Article 9” training and “Prevention and Support” training, and/or be willing to go through these trainings (we can assist training). Must have High School diploma or GED. Must have 3 written letters of reference.
