The Children’s Center for Neurodevelopmental Studies in Glendale is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist SLP CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) to join our team.  We are a small non-profit private school that serves children with Autism and other Developmental Delays. The role will evaluate and treat children with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.  It will also provide therapy services to individuals and/or supervise SLPA’s in a variety of settings (i.e., private school programs, clinic, etc.).  We have a morning School Program as well as an After-School Program that we run under the DDD (Division of Development and Disabilities) guidelines. We are looking for a person who would do part-time work or possibly full-time, depending on the needs.  Our school is expanding and we need your assistance.  This is a great opportunity to work with an excellent team. One of our teachers was recently recognized as the Outstanding Special Education Teacher of the Year by the National Association of Special Education Teachers.  We have also been recognized recently as the Outstanding Charity of the Month by the Mayor of the City of Glendale.

Duties include: Developing therapy and treatment plans for speech disorders, implementing standardized tests for accurate diagnosis of communication disorders, working with teachers, parents and districts on IEPs, establishing treatment goals and milestones for students, documenting and storing treatment plans and progress reports, researching related speech and language problems, providing therapies, etc.

Requirements: Must have a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, as well as CCC certification. School guidelines also require ADE certification (Arizona Department of Education). Must have a current fingerprint clearance card, must pass a background clearance check, CPR/First Aid card, Arizona State Driver’s license, able to pass a drug test, have three written letters of reference, and be willing to get training on “Article 9” and “Prevention and Support” (we can assist training).  Ideal candidates will be positive team players who genuinely care about children with special needs.
