The Children’s Center for Neurodevelopmental Studies is looking for instructional / teacher assistants or education Paraprofessionals to assist in our classrooms. We are a small non-profit private school that serves children with Autism and other Developmental Delays. We are looking for candidates who have worked with special needs children before. The ideal candidate will be motivated and physically capable (can lift over 45 lbs. and be able to move comfortably) in order to work with high behavioral individuals. Special needs experience is preferred. Must love children and have patience. The hours are Monday – Friday from 8:15 am to 2:00 pm. $11.00 p/h
Duties include: Providing instructional support services under the direct supervision of a qualified Special Education teacher. Assisting teachers in planning and preparing materials for activities. Implementing therapeutic programs under the direction of therapists. Implementing Positive Behavior Support Plans. Assisting students with meals, personal care issues, hygiene, social interactions and behaviors. Additional hours may be obtained through van support.
Requirements: Must have a High School diploma or GED, must be 18 years of age, must have a current fingerprint clearance card, must pass a background clearance check, CPR/First Aid card, Arizona State Driver’s license or ID, able to pass a drug test, have three written letters of reference, be willing to get training on “Article 9” and “Prevention and Support” (we can assist training).

After School Assistants
The Children’s Center for Neurodevelopmental Studies in Glendale is looking for part-time after school assistants or providers. We are a small non-profit private school that serves children with Autism and other Developmental Delays. Our After-School Program (DDD) assists the children with social skill development, fun activities and themed weekly events. You will be working with the children in a wide range of educational and recreational activities. The hours of need are from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We are looking for candidates that have worked with special needs children before if possible. Special needs experience is preferred. Must love children and have patience. Starting pay is $11.00. Other opportunities are also available (i.e. van support, habilitation, respite, etc.) that can provide additional hours if needed.
